about SASPRO
Enjoy the legal right to earn residual income from your performances!
SASPRO collects and distributes Actors’ earnings, under the guidance of a board of acting industry professionals, who are experts in Intellectual Property law, Tax compliance matters and legislation.
When the Copyright and Performers’ Protection Amendment Bills have been promulgated into law, SASPRO will have the statutory authority to collect for all audio visual work.
Until such time, SASPRO is able collect repeat and commercial exploitation fees on contractual agreements for only principal performers with selected broadcasters such as SABC and ETV.
Through The International Actors Federation (FIA), SASPRO has global affiliates in more than 70 countries, and is a founding member of The African Federation of Audiovisual Societies (AFAS). SASPRO has begun signing reciprocal agreements with other collecting societies including Spain.
